Hide Help

The Static NAT Mapping feature allows for a 1-to-1 mapping between a Public WAN IP address and an internal private Local Host IP address. All traffic from the Local Host will be forwarded onto the Internet, and appear to have the Public IP address as its source address. Downstream traffic destined for the Public IP address will be forwarded to the Local Host.

Status The state of each Static NAT entry. This is normally enabled.

Public IP Address The Public IP address should not be the gateway's WAN IP address. Your Internet Service Provider must assign this address to you, and set up a route to this address. Assigning an arbitrary public IP address will not work.

Local Host IP Address of the LAN-side host.

Allow Inbound allows unsolicited traffic destined for the Public IP address to be forwarded to the Local Host.

Bypass Firewall If Allow Inbound is enabled, this allows the unsolicited traffic to bypass any firewall rules.
